Transplant Games of America
The mission of the Transplant Games of America is to increase public awareness of the importance of organ, eye and tissue donation through the multi-sport competition for individuals who have undergone life-saving transplant surgeries and commemorates the life-giving donors.
Events at the Donate Life Transplant Games are open to living donors, bone marrow, organ transplant recipients, and corneal/tissue transplant recipients. The annual sporting challenge is a nationally unifying event that brings together the greater transplant community of donor families, healthcare providers, recipients, recovery agencies, and those awaiting transplantation.
Cleveland was a perfect host of the 2016 games as Team South Carolina reveled in the pure joy of participating in the Transplant Games of America events. We are proud of our competitors for bringing home a Record 54 Medals to the Palmetto State! While winning is great, we are also happy to see recipients honoring their gift of life and their donors by showing the world what transplantation can do! Thank you to our donor families for coming and supporting our competitors!
We invite you to view the videos highlighting the 2016 Transplant Games of America. These incredible stories reveal the compassion and bravery presented by donor recipients and donor families participating in the events.
