UPDATE ON BILL H.3317, ORGAN DONOR REGISTRY FOR SOUTH CAROLINA…
YOUR PHONE CALLS MATTER!

Bill H.3317 has been referred back to subcommittee – per recommendation of the subcommittee chair – Representative Cathy B. Harvin (D-Summerton).  The bill was referred back to subcommittee to offer an opportunity for clarification. 

Next step:  H.3317 will go in front of the subcommittee again – hopefully next week – where Donate Life South Carolina will have the opportunity to answer questions the subcommittee members have regarding the bill. 

A huge THANK YOU to all of you who contacted your representatives Monday.  Many of the full committee members commented to us on Tuesday morning that they had received numerous phone calls in support of the bill.  We appreciate your support - your phone calls matter! 

This is an example of the power of the organ and tissue/transplant community when we channel our efforts. 

We will need this action again in the coming weeks – and will let you know exactly when as soon as we get the alert.
