Donate Life SC Concludes Successful
Transplant Speakers International (TSI) Greenville, Columbia, Charleston, South Carolina – Donor families and recipients from throughout South Carolina gathered in Greenville, Columbia, and Charleston in the last month to participate in Transplant Speakers International, Inc.(“TSI”) training. A total of 57 participants heard TSI representatives, Steve Taibbi, Dave Lively, Frank Bodino and Jack Locicero share their own individual stories about donation and transplantation. The TSI facilitators provided instruction to the attending volunteers in identifying the emotional aspects of their respective experiences and gave the group an opportunity to outline and present their personal stories. The training also included adaptations to different speaking venues and time frames. “This training program was a positive experience for all of us,” stated Shirley McAdams, DLSC Volunteer Coordinator. “It was deeply emotional. The sense of family that envelopes a group of donor families and recipients is something so special. In addition, our volunteers received valuable instruction and feedback from the TSI facilitators that will enhance their testimonies and our donation awareness efforts in South Carolina.” Comments from participants included:
